NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC 0F FAYETTE COUNTYS INTENT TO APPLY FOR THE 2025 CDBG ALLOCATION PROGRAM First Hearing Notice date May 31, 2025 The County of Fayette intends to apply to the Ohio Development Services Agency for funding under the Community Development Small Cities Program, a federally funded program administered by the state. The 2025 applications are due on June 14, 2025. The County is eligible for $150,000.00 of fiscal year 2025 Allocation program funding, providing the county meets applicable program requirements. On May 6, 2025 the county conducted its first public CDIS hearing to inform citizens about the CDBG program, how it may be used, what activities are eligible, and other important requirements. Based on both citizens input and local officials assessments of the countys needs, the County is proposing to undertake the following CDBG activities for fiscal Year 2025. The County will assist the Village of Jeffersonville with their waterline infrastructure needs. The amount of assistance is $108,000 from the Allocation Program. The second allocation will assist the village of Bloomingburg with their upgrades to the village park. The amount of assistance is $32,000. Administration and Fair housing cost for the projects is $10,000. Both of the proposed projects will meet the required National Objective by providing a benefit for LMI persons. The project completion date for Allocation activities is August 31, 2027 . A public hearing will be held June 4,2025 at 8:00 am at the Community Action Commission of Fayette County, 1400 US RT 22 NW, Washington Court House to give citizens an adequate opportunity to review and comment on the proposed Formula Grant Activities proposed above. The Administration building is a handicapped accessible facility.
